Job Description: Pharmacy Logistics Technician/Tech
Assist Pharmacy Technicians in the completion of routine task including medication deliver, medication expiration date inspections, receiver, medication replenishment, cleaning, and retail pharmacy task.
Job Responsibilities:
Medication Delivery
- Perform Batch and Off Batch Production Run Delivery
- Perform a Batch Production Run Delivery with Medication Cassettes
- Meds to Beds Delivery from Retail Pharmacy
Medication Expiration Date Inspection - Conduct a Medication Expiration Date Inspection in the Pharmacy Department, Nursing Units, and Ambulatory Care Site
Receiver/ Medication Replenishment - Receipt of purchased medications from Manufacturer and Wholesaler Replenishment of medications and supplies to the pharmacy medication storage shelves, Pyxis MedStation ES, and surgical centers
- Retrieval of medication from Medication Storage Locations during a Pharmaceutical Recall
- Investigate and correct Pyxis MedStation ES malfunctions
Cleaning - Perform cleaning medication storage shelves, bins, refrigerators and Pyxis Medstations
Retail Pharmacy - Receiver
- Register/Cashier
- Patient Triage
- Answer Phone calls
Education Requirement: High School/GED
Preferred Experience: - Hospital Pharmacy - 1 year
- Level 4
- Rapid Response
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Basic computer skills including use of Windows operating system.
Schedule Notes: SHIFTS FT IV MORNING 0700-1530 FT IV NIGHT 2300-0730 FT IV EVENING 1500-2330 PT ROTATING WEEKENDS (MORNING/ NIGHT)
- PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING SHIFT FOR THIS ROLE. THERE IS NO SCHEDULE FLEXIBILITY AS THIS SHIFT NEEDS TO BE COVERED BY THIS ROLE. TRAINING IS MANDATORY AND FULL-TIME (8:30-5) AND MAY VARY FROM THE SHIFT THAT A CONTRACTOR WILL WORK OUTSIDE OF TRAINING.
