Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Homestead, FL for a Primary Therapist for LGBTQIA+ Substance Use Treatment Center. The Primary Therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapy to LGBTQIA+ clients struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The Primary Therapist will develop and implement treatment plans, conduct intake and assessments, and provide crisis intervention as needed.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or related field required
- Active license in the state of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD/PhD)
- Certification or formal training in substance use treatment, such as CAC or CAP, required
- Experience providing therapy to LGBTQIA+ individuals required
- Experience working in substance use and mental health treatment field preferred
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices, such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
- Passion for providing culturally competent and affirming care to the LGBTQIA+ community
