Richmond Print Group, a Division of Moore Holdings, LLC is searching for a Comprehensive Production Bilingual Shift Lead at our facility in Henrico, Virginia. Full time - Day Shift (OT as needed/occasional weekends)

Job Summary:

Coordinates with Department Manager and Tech Leads to keep orders and factor of production flowing through the Lettershop Department. Acts as a liaison between production, customer service and management. Responsible for the overall productivity, production efficiency, and performance of the production departments. Enforces all company policies and procedures on the production floor. Makes recommendations to improve profitability, production, communication, and safety. Uses estimates, time standards, delivery commitments and other data to prepare production schedules to assign time to plant equipment and schedule related labor. The primary task is to ensure work in progress is performed correctly without undue delay in a fast-paced work environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Production Associates
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Establishes department goals, strategies, and procedures
  • Motivates individuals for actions that achieve department goals and lead to the fulfillment of the company vision
  • Supervise operators to ensure orderly flow of work through the shop in an efficient and timely manner that meets customer deadlines
  • Analyzes production throughout the plant daily and adjusts machine and operator schedules accordingly
  • Monitors daily production schedule to ensure that it is being properly updated
  • Schedules over-time when appropriate to meet customer schedules while managing costs
  • Ensures that all due dates are met, and jobs are completed
  • Communicates job status with management and CSRs and elevates any issues impacting customer expectations along with any additional appropriate overtime charges
  • Inspects all jobs before they are processed
  • Check and compare Job Jackets
  • Coordinate with Folding Leads as issues arise
  • Make decisions on printing issues, especially when Management is unavailable, and informs Manager of those decisions made
  • Assists in the resolution of customer satisfaction issues (poor quality, due dates, kick jobs, etc.)
  • Covering unassigned tasks for associates during absence of PTO
  • Monitors department and safety regulations by ensuring that employees are using protective gear and complying with company policies.
  • Reports all accidents and completes necessary paperwork for workers compensation.
  • Keeps abreast of all postal and sort changes
  • Attend daily Production Meeting
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 2-4 years of Manufacturing Supervisory Experience
  • Bachelor's degree a plus

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to climb, kneel, bend, squat
  • Must be able to grasp, push, pull and have fine motor skills
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
