Job Details
Brunel is seeking a Drafter to work with a major oil and gas company located in Houston, TX on a short term contract.
Responsibilities
- Draft essential heritage electrical drawings, instrumentation drawings, schematics, plot plans and P&ID diagrams using AutoCAD or similar software as directed by design supervisor.
- Integrate all heritage discipline documentation using script batch software as per company standards.
- Manage archive drawing files as directed by Document Coordinator.
- Provide support to other team members as needed and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including PHA, Arc Flash Study packages, electrical specifications, and drawings.
- Build redlines and update Document Management System files and transmittals.
- Coordinate MOC drafting as per asset engineer revisions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in electrical design or a related role.
- Proficient in the use of 2D AutoCAD and MicroStation. 3D AutoCAD preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical design principles, practices, and standards.
- Knowledge and application of company engineering design and ISA and company CAD drafting standards.
- AAS Degree or 2+ years of equivalent craft / designer work.
- Piping and structural drafting a plus.
- Software/Hardware Qualifications Required:
- AutoCAD
- Basic computer/PC skills
- Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
