This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Will be administering & completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) to veterans
- As a certified medical disability examiner, you gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, diagnostic testing, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations.
- You develop a medical opinion of the likelihood that the Veteran s condition is related to their military service
- No treatment or prescribing medications is involved.
- Option of half (4 hours) or full (8 hour) days anywhere from 2-5 days/week Monday- Saturday, where applicable.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- License in state of practice
- Ability to complete 16 hours of online training in 3-4 weeks
- Graduate of an accredited program and board certification from ANCC or AANP
- An agreement for a collaborating or supervising physician, where applicable
