We have an exciting opportunity for a Utility Operator to join our Screw Department on 2nd shift. This role will perform highly diversified duties to set-up and operate a variety of machines and equipment within the Department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform weld repair and fabrication of product within the Screw Department.
- Set up and operate dual stationed cylindrical grinding equipment.
- Set up and operate lathes for the turning of screw billets.
- Finish operations on feed screws.
- Operation of straightening press and flame hardening machines.
- Operation of feed screw polishing equipment.
- Detect faulty operation, defective material, and report these and unusual situations to a Supervisor.
- Perform daily maintenance of machines as described by services manuals/instruction tags and Supervisor.
Experience and Education Required:
- High School or Technical School Diploma
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Experience operating grinding equipment and/or lathes
