6-month contract to permanent hire

Full-Time position, on site 5 days a week (40/hr a week, overtime pay opportunities!)


Description:

We are supporting a large EPC compnay in their search for an Assistant Electrical Detailer. As an Assistant Electrical Detailer, you will contribute to the creation of plans and preparation of intricate drawings for diverse projects. You'll assist in drawing production, ensuring efficient project deliverables while maintaining high CAD proficiency. This role involves collaborating with various team members and adhering to project scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Assist in creating plans and preparing intricate drawings from rough sketches or engineering notes.
  • Support drawing production across various project types.
  • Ensure efficient and budget-conscious project deliverables.
  • Aid in CAD drawing production and project execution.
  • Manage printing, scanning, and submission of drawing packages.
  • Maintain high CAD proficiency and master current CAD systems.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and development for staff.
  • Review and adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage project resources effectively.
  • Identify priority tasks and implement execution plans.
  • Communicate workload effectively with the team and management.
  • Maintain records of client or company CAD standards.
  • Provide quality feedback on work.
  • Assist in the QA/QC process.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
  • Comply with all organizational policies and standards.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or related field with 2 years of experience, OR
  • Associate degree with 3 years of experience, OR
  • 4 years of progressive detailing and design experience.


  • Basic understanding of design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel.
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software.
  • Proficiency in both 2D and 3D applications for engineering drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
