Summary:

The Concierge provides local and resort information and assists with guests needs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Wears the Guest Services Uniform in accordance with the uniform code.

* Maintains a neat appearance and a professional manner.

* Project a professional, hospitable demeanor at all times; monitors the lobby, lounge and function rooms, particularly in the Lodge for cleanliness, order and proper functioning of all equipment.

* Ensure he/she is aware of all arrivals at Basin Harbor each day, including the guest histories on file; follows through with the guests during their stay to be certain their expectations are being met.

* Ensure he/she is aware of all activities at Basin Harbor available to guests, in particular the current days events.

* Answer inquiries, offers suggestions, and provides assistance to guests pertaining to activities and services at Basin Harbor and the surrounding area.

* Arrange transportation for guests as requested.

* Assist guests in acquiring child care services when needed.

* Scheduling guests for massage and fitness appointments.

* Order all amenity packages in a time manner, ensures they are delivered, and posts charges for packages accurately.

* Assist guests in schedule resort activities.

* Provide feedback from guests to his/her supervisor in an efficient manner.

* Promote our guest comment card program by encouraging guests to complete our surveys at every opportunity.

* Additional tasks as assigned by the Guest Services Manager or Revenue Manager.

Essential Qualifications and Competencies:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Ability to use or learn to use, the following equipment: computer, printer and etc.; telephone switchboard; office equipment such as fax machine, copy machine, postage meter etc.

* Ability to use MS Office applications including Word and Excel.

* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English

* Ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively present information in one-on-one situations in person and over the telephone in English.

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals.

* Ability to compute ratios and percentages.

* Ability to apply common sense, understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

* Must be able to adapt to changes in a fast paced, dynamic, and sometimes intense work environment.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands, talk, and hear.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

* Must be willing and able to pass a background check.
