POSITION SUMMARY:

The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day activities of the order processing and shipping functions. They lead and coordinate the activities of Leads, DC 100 and 200 Associates engaged in transporting, picking, packing, and shipping.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:

  1. Oversees and coordinates daily distribution center activities of put-away, delivery order creation, picking, packing, and shipping.
  2. Trains, supervises, and evaluates the performance of assigned distribution center employees.
  3. Assigns workloads to distribution center workers throughout the day to balance workload.
  4. Assesses associate's performance and coaches and counsels as necessary.
  5. Provides opportunities for employee growth through development and cross training.
  6. Utilizes the ERP system to review delivery data, workload and to manage exception processing.
  7. Maintains metric data, reports relevant information, and prepares any necessary documentation.
  8. Documents and approves timecard and attendance records for accurate payroll record keeping.
  9. Contributes as a Subject Matter Expert and lead in projects.
  10. Focuses on Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  11. Contributes to and/ or manages the Daily Start Up Meeting.
  12. Opens, Closes, and Secures the facility.
  13. Interacts and builds collaborative relationship with other departments virtually and in person.
  14. Maintains a clean, safe, and productive work environment in compliance with OSHA and company directives, using safety first practices to remain accident-free.
  15. Carries a communication device to help address on-the-spot issues.

Non-Essential Functions:
  1. Performs other duties as assigned.
  2. Forklift and/or other material handling equipment operation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma and/or GED
  • 2+ years of warehouse lead/supervision/managerial work.
  • Experience using ERP system(s) and Microsoft office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills, ability to affectively communication both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to collaborate in a team-based environment, providing excellent customer service to employees and all stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in business, management, logistics or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience using SAP.
  • Previous experience using time tracking systems.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven individual with the ability to work without daily guidance.
  • Previous experience managing and building a high performing and driven team.
