What you will do:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for utilizing your subject matter expertise (SME) to advance the risk assessment skills and capabilities of our team. You will also play a crucial role in developing and delivering staff training programs and conducting quality assurance (QA) reviews specific to SME areas. In addition, you will partner and collaborate with our underwriting and claims teams in efforts to reduce losses.

* Plan, schedule and complete workplace/work site underwriting risk assessments with commercial customers for Worker's Compensation, General Liability, Property and Automobile. Surveys completed via combination of approaches including: self-assessment, phone surveys and web assisted video surveys.

* Effectively document and communicate risk operations and LOB exposures and controls to underwriting.

* Investigate, analyze and determine incident and accident fundamental causes (frequency and/or severity) and recommend corrective actions.

* Complete more complex risk assessment surveys including product liability, specialty EIU coverages, and other speciality business segments and/or target markets.

* Participate in prospective sales/agency meetings.

* Participate in regional/national SME specific associations and groups to stay current on latest technical information.

* Conduct larger, special and higher hazard risk assessment surveys and complete reports.

* Provide technical consultation and assistance to Risk Management staff within SME area.

* Conduct quality assurance report reviews for the department on accounts based on individual LOB criteria.

* Develop and deliver SME specific training seminars for risk management within specialty area.

* Stay current with SME specific technical topics and develop and or select new SME RM services for clients.

* Collaborate with underwriting on specific LOB projects and initiatives and special projects.

* Conduct large loss reviews as required by LOB.

* Identify and vet RMS products and service offerings for customers within SME area.

* Collaborate with RMS AVP and Marketing on development and/or update of SME specific Risk Management Advisories.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Participate in professional and community safety activities.

* Assist in mentoring and developing Risk Management staff in risk services.

* Maintain good communications with other departments, policyholders and producers.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures.

What you will need:

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred OR Master's Degree preferred.

Experience: 4-7 years- At least 5 years of experience in the Risk Management or Loss Control profession; Significant technical expertise and experience preferred.

Salary: $95,100-$142,700

The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee's work experience, their geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications.

This position is a full time salaried, exempt (non overtime eligible) position
