Operations Manager

The Onin Group has an internal opportunity with one of our internal companies as an Operations Manager! The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of operations within the facility. This includes leading a team of 15 individuals, ensuring smooth manufacturing processes, managing inventory, handling payroll, and coordinating shipping and receiving activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing and inventory management, proficiency in ERP software, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams. Additionally, the Operations Manager should possess strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire the team towards achieving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of 15 individuals to achieve operational goals and targets. Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  2. Manufacturing Management: Oversee manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with established standards and procedures. Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  3. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular monitoring and reconciliation. Implement best practices for inventory control, including cycle counting, stock rotation, and inventory valuation.
  4. Payroll Administration: Handle payroll processing and related activities, including timekeeping, payroll adjustments, and compliance with labor regulations. Ensure timely and accurate payroll disbursement while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  5. ERP Software Expertise: Utilize ERP software effectively to streamline operations, track inventory, generate reports, and facilitate decision-making. Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to optimize system functionality and resolve technical issues as needed.
  6. Shipping and Receiving: Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including order fulfillment, freight management, and warehouse logistics. Ensure timely delivery of products to customers and maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments.
  7. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including production, procurement, sales, and customer service, to coordinate activities and achieve overall business objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and synergy across departments.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, including FIFO, JIT, and MRP.
  • Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Office applications.
  • Experience with payroll administration and familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
