Duration: 12 Months Contract
Job Description:
2nd shift position.- 2:30pm-11pm Monday-Friday
Employees will need to train on the 1st shift for 1 month prior to moving to the 2nd shift.
Performs the following duties, and other required activities as assigned. Must demonstrate competencies necessary to meet business requirements. May perform as a member or leader of a functional and/or cross-functional team. -Deburrs fabricated parts with hand and power tools. -May removes excess metal and surface defects fabricated parts and assemblies prior to plating and painting using abrasive wheels and other power and hand tools, -Selects abrasive belt or wheel according to grain size, type of finish specified, product being polished, or amount of metal to be removed, using knowledge of polishing operations and abrasives. -Examines parts for acceptability of finish, ensuring assemblies meets documentation and engineering drawings.
Responsibilities:
Assemble and repair various parts, mechanisms, tools, mechanical assembles, sub-assemblies or machines, applying advanced knowledge of machining practices, mechanics, shop mathematics and metal properties.
Interpret required documentation such as blueprints, sketches, specifications, NC programs, detailed routings and capable of following detailed instructions either written or oral.
Verify conformance of work piece to specifications by inspecting dimensions and requirements using calibrated measuring instruments.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years machining experience including at least 3 years of experience setting-up, programming or editing programs and operating various multi-axis CNC machines utilizing conversational and G code programming.
