Director of Procurement - Beverage Company (Onsite - Fairfield, CA)
Responsibilities:
Create and implement best in class procurement processes across all business units to drive uniformity of approach, economies of scale, and improved economic value for the company
Lead the strategic sourcing process while also driving effective and efficient procurement operations
Manage inventory and obsolescence of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging
Maximize profit and minimize risk through contract negotiations
Deliver cost savings, manage risk, and drive improved supplier performance, improved quality of service, and total cost of performance
Manage the procurement governance process across the business ensuring policy compliance
Ensure that all partner and potential partner conversations are covered by a nondisclosure agreement and all purchases are under a contract
Manage department spend and budget
Build and grow the procurement team through strong change management techniques and people development
Oversee procurement system and data strategy, implementing new tools to support the function and the wider business
Attend press checks to confirm packaging production meets or exceeds company quality standards
Track and drive supplier partner performance through scorecards with key performance indicators (KPIs)
Work collaboratively with Finance on forecasts where procurement has an impact
Deliver monthly procurement reports to executives
Develop and implement a plan for continuous margin improvement
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree
8 plus years of procurement and supply chain experience.
Experience in consumer goods/beverage and manufacturing industry
Experience with indirect spend categories
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, critical projects
Experience with managing teams and coaching
Strong analytical skills Excel
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products and Google Drive
