Responsibilities

Welcoming patients by answering phones and greeting them with a friendly attitude
Managing appointments efficiently by scheduling, changing, or canceling as needed
Assisting in maintaining patient flow and ensuring timely schedules
Conducting insurance verifications accurately
Recording patient information meticulously into the EMR system
Ensuring medical records are updated and precise
Reconciling daily charges and billings meticulously
Performing any additional tasks as required and assigned

Qualifications

Minimum requirement of 3 years of customer service experience specifically in the medical field is essential
Proficiency in both verbal and written communication is a must
Ability to comprehend simple healthcare terminology is necessary
Proficient in the use of computer software and technology
Familiarity with health insurance plans, benefits verification, and authorization is required
Strong skills in prioritizing work, multitasking, and critical thinking are essential
Demonstrated ability to stay organized and handle stressful situations calmly
