Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Buyer located in Marshfield, MA. The Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement process, selecting and negotiating with suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery of materials, maintaining inventory levels, and collaborating with internal teams to develop sourcing strategies. The Senior Buyer will also be responsible for analyzing market trends, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

None


Duties/Responsibilities:

Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers.

Negotiates contracts and costs with suppliers.

Work with Engineering and other departments as needed to select new suppliers.

Oversees and maintains supplier monitoring/grading.

Obtain samples as requested by department heads or other authorized personnel and maintain corresponding records of such samples.

Maintain relationship with customs broker.

Manage and maintain all related data and documentation related to purchase orders, invoices, customs forms, samples and required correspondence.

Review customs documents for proper reporting of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification and shipment values. Monitor and maintain HTS classifications for company products and update company database as needed.

Process purchasing documents, approve supplier invoices, review, and process non-conformity reports, and monitor Kirwan Surgical suppliers within ISO standards.

Acts as a lead in the absence of Supervisor or Manager

Monitor inventory levels and order packaging supplies.

Processes appropriate documentation for supplies traveling overseas.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Experience purchasing in regulated environments.

Strong experience with supplier management


Education and Experience:

Bachelor s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Production/Operations, or related field preferred.

Minimum 5 years of Purchasing and Supply Chain experience in an FDA-regulated industry.


Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
