**Job Overview:**
The Director of Retail Marketing will lead development and implementation of the US retail pharmacy vaccine strategy to optimize performance within the retail segment. This role will be responsible for annual strategy development and tactical execution within retail to meet customer needs and internal objectives. The individual should have experience working in a cross-functional environment, as they will work closely with retail sales, Sanofi Pasteur marketing, market access, legal and regulatory. This position requires a highly motivated individual who can work effectively in a dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy and creative problem-solving skills to identify trends and future needs and communicate this to all relevant stakeholders. This role is for an individual interested in people management with direct reports.
This position is based in the US and will report to the Head of Marketing at VaxServe.
**Responsibilities:**
* Develop and execute annual retail marketing plans including objectives, strategy, tactics, and forecasts
* Develop and achieve forecasts as planned (SP and non-SP vaccine portfolios) by analyzing forecast performance
* Participate in cross-functional teams including brand marketing, analytics, market research, market access, legal, regulatory, and other functions
* Demonstrate deep knowledge of retail vaccine market and trends to form long-term strategies and solutions
* Partner closely with Head of Retail Sales and the Retail National Account Director sales team to ensure strategy execution and alignment, monitor education needs, and uncover opportunities
* Develop and execute contingency plans necessary to meet changes in the customer environment and marketplace.
* Own and execute personal development plan and coach / develop team members
* Manage the Agency of Record
* Ensure that all marketing processes, documents, and tactics are developed and implemented in accordance with Sanofi Pasteur and VaxServe corporate compliance
* Meet with influential contacts within top retailers to expand VaxServe reach and influence through marketing campaigns
* Develop and manage promotional budget and monitor productivity of all promotional programs
**Requirements & Qualifications:**
* Bachelors degree and 5+ years relevant marketing experience
* Candidates will work Eastern Time Zone hours
* Strategic thinker with demonstrated formal presentation development and delivery skills required
* Demonstrated abilities to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and effectively influence, collaborate, and communicate with internal and external partners
* Ability to manage external vendors and effective budget management
* Detail-oriented self-starter capable of owning initiatives from beginning to end
* High level of personal and professional integrity with strong work ethic
* Ability to travel ~25%
This role serves US retail pharmacy segment a fast growing, convenient, and affordable immunization segment for adult patients. VaxServe provides opportunity to remain part of Sanofis organization while learning the direct-sell distributor model to national retailers.
