Job Description:

1st shift-M-F - flexible start time from 5am-8am - once start time is chosen, it must stay consistent.

Must be willing to work overtime (OT is mostly on Saturdays for 8 hours. Not usually mandatory)

Performs any combination of the following tasks through verbal or detailed written instructions to manufacture/disassemble/rework/repair surface mount (including J-leaded devices, 0402 or smaller devices, fine pitch, BGA, etc.) and/or through-hole printed circuit card assemblies, flex circuits, sub-assemblies, and/or electronic mechanical assemblies.

Duties include (but not limited to) board and/or component preparation, printed circuit board stuffing and/or assembly, touch up, manually soldering components, box-building.

Perform modifications or upgrades or removal and/or replacement of electro-mechanical, surface mount (including J-leaded devices, 0402 or smaller devices, fine pitch, BGA, etc.), through-hole components.

Responsibilities:

Tends machines that solder/desolder, press, shape, wind, or place component parts. Cleans and deglosses parts using cleaning devices, solutions, and abrasives. Preforms intermediate assembly tasks, such as conformal coating, potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies. May perform informal, self in-process checks on manufactured items prior to submitting to authorized formal inspection and/or test personnel for determining product validation and final acceptance. May assemble cabinets, chassis, consoles, or similar devices and with manual/electronic or electro-mechanical equipment. May assist other related job classifications when directed. Required to interpret process routings, wiring diagrams and similar production planning documents or drawings. Should be familiar with the collection and analysis of data for Statistical Process Controls. Performs other required activities, as assigned.

Must demonstrate competencies necessary to meet business requirements. May perform as a member or leader of a functional and/or cross-functional team.

Experience:

Two years experience in assembly/rework/repair of electronic equipment

including circuit cards with surface mount and through-hole components is desired but not mandatory.

Skills:

Soldering and assembly standards (IPC 610, IPC-620, IPC 7711, and/or J-STD-001)

Electronic Worker Cable & Chassis, and Electronic Worker Circuit Card positions

Solvents, flux, thinners, and other cleaning compounds

Education:

High School Diploma or GED.
