About The Role

This position assists members to reach their financial goals while providing the highest level of member service and product knowledge to actively sell credit union products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cross-Sell Columbia's products and services
  • Adhere to Columbia's "Service Standards"
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge on all credit union products and services
  • Open, modify, and close consumer and business accounts
  • Originate and fund consumer and home equity loan products
  • Process all member transactions and requests (including but not limited to; operation of computers, maintaining coin machine and ATM, servicing Drive-up Window, Vault activity etc.)
  • Serve in greeter position to assist members entering the branch by assessing their needs and serving them accordingly.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and promotions
  • Perform additional tasks and duties assigned by Branch Manager
  • Comply with branch security including robbery, fraud, and forgery procedures
  • Assist tellers to efficiently process member transactions when appropriate


REQUIREMENTS

  • One (1) year financial institution experience or a demonstrated proficiency with branch-related systems.
  • New account origination experience preferred.
  • Lending experience preferred to include a basic understanding of the loan process.
  • A basic understanding of federal and state lending laws and regulations.
  • Required current NMLS license or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Knowledge of Columbia's Bank Secrecy Act compliance program
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must be team oriented.
  • Attain Notary designation within six months of hire.
  • Must be reliably available to work: Monday through Friday and Saturdays to include a split week schedule, as needed. Must be available to attend branch meetings when scheduled.
  • Proficient use of software and resources necessary to perform daily duties.


COMPENSATION

  • $22-$26/ hour
  • Eligible for performance incentives.
