JOB SUMMARY:

Under general direction provides customer service by greeting customers, answering multi-line telephone, taking messages and responding to customer inquiries.

This position is for Customer Service Representative with a valid Texas Class C Driver's License who may need to serve as backup to pick up for after-school care and other driving as needed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Ability to provide customer service by registering citizens for activities and receiving money, assisting with employment requests, responding to customer inquiries and assisting with reservations of park facilities on an as needed basis.

2. Ability to perform facility maintenance such as cleaning up spills and cleaning restrooms and weight room.

3. Ability to assist in the coordination and scheduling of programs such as public events, facility rentals and special meetings.

4. Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system and take messages for appropriate staff.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

5. Ability to work with various organizations, individuals and other departments to accommodate needs for facility access, program information or facility orientation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Knowledge of modern office methods, practices and equipment.

Knowledge of facility management to ensure a safe and productive experience for users and customers.

Skill in operating a multi-line telephone.

Ability to learn and apply computer skills to register customers, authorize refunds and account for site revenues.

Ability to apply appropriate interpersonal skills with the public and city staff to maintain positive relations.

Ability to maintain the cleanliness and safe condition of the work site.

Ability to to operate a motorized vehicle as an essential function of the position (Safety Sensitive Position)

Qualifying Education and Experience:

High school education. A minimum of six months related clerical/customer service experience. Possession of a valid TX Operators License, Class C. Pre-placement screening includes

Successful completion of the City of Arlington's CPR and First Aid training required upon hire.

Pre-employment screens:

A criminal background check, drug/alcohol testing, motor vehicle review (MVR), physical and Human Performance Evaluation (HPE)
