The role
The Territory Manager is accountable for identifying and delivering business growth through a customer base of dental practices in a defined geography, building net sales, product mix, and growing overall consumption of Colgate products. With the increased trend for virtual/remote customer engagement, the Territory Manager is expected to navigate and fully leverage both selling environments. The expectation is that approximately 20% of customer engagements would be remote, so proficiency in verbal/written communication & influence as well as emerging digital tools is critical.

What you'll do

Sell, promote and merchandise Colgate's professional products
Build and grow relationships with Dental practices that will drive sales
Consistently identify and engage new business opportunities
Develop, with the support of a Regional Manager, territory business plan prioritizing largest/most profitable opportunities, continuously decreasing cost-to-serve
Build and maintain successful working relationships with Corporate DSO team, Remote Selling Team, Call Center, Marketing, 3rd party's distributor's Sales Force, and Dental Professionals to deliver business results
Represent Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals at dental conventions, local dental/hygiene associations & study clubs and dental/ hygiene schools
Educate customers through detailing and in-clinic seminars/lunch & learns on the superior efficacy and value of Colgate professional portfolio

You have strong communication, relationship building, and presentation skills, including experience communicating with Dental Professionals
You are highly competitive, tenacious, and self-motivated
You have strong selling skills - you demonstrate the ability to persuade, negotiate and close
You're digitally savvy and quick to adopt new technologies

Required qualifications

Bachelor's Degree
0 - 2+ years experience in sales
Excellent communication skills (internal and external, all levels)
Availability to travel to the locations where clients are located
Availability to attend occasional in-person office days

Preferred qualifications

Sales experience in the dental industry CPG and/or medical devices
Knowledge and understanding of the competitive landscape in health care products
3rd party distributor experience
B2B, Hygienist or Dental Office Experience

Salary Range $64,000 - $80,000 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
