Position Purpose

In collaboration with the Associate Athletic Director/External Operations, this position will assist in increasing the overall visibility of UCM Athletics by leading and managing the marketing and fan experience department.

This position will oversee the implementation and management of marketing strategies to drive attendance, promotion and engagement of athletic events.

Duties would include, but are not limited to, development and implementation of marketing plans, strategy and planning around fan experience and implementation of gameday promotions and operations. In addition, they will provide leadership and professional development to the marketing and fan experience staff and collaborate with ticket sales, ticket operations, sponsorships, and creative on a daily basis to enhance revenue generation opportunities for the department.

Bachelor's degree in the following field(s) of study: Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.

Education may be substituted for experience or experience may be substituted for education. based on the following equivalencies: AA = 2 years; BA/BS = 4 years; MA/MS = 6 years; and PhD = 8 years.

Computer Skills

Word-Processing, Presentation, Other - Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

Experience

Three (3) years experience in athletics department required.

Marketing and fan experience in a collegiate athletic department strongly preferred.

Budget oversight experience preferred.

Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions.

Knowledge of, and adherence to, NCAA and conference rules and regulations as pertinent to the position are essential.
