THE POSITION
Are you an employment lawyer considering a change in pace? We re working with an AmLaw 100 firm, specifically their Chambers-ranked California employment group, on an off-track attorney role in Los Angeles. With a 1200-1600 billable hour target, you d have the opportunity to maintain a sophisticated employment practice while taking your hours down a notch. You can also work remotely (within California)! The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of labor & employment experience, and must be able to manage cases independently, argue motions in court, take and defend depositions, and communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel. This group defends employers in complex employment litigation, including wage and hour class and collective actions, PAGA actions, employment discrimination class actions, and complex whistleblower matters. California bar membership is required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of labor & employment experience
- Am Law 100 or top regional firm experience preferred
- Excellent academic credentials from top law school
- Excellent legal research and analytical skills
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
