**Finisher / Painter III**
Fort Belvoir, VA / Marton / Labor Marton Technologies, Inc (A Panum Group, LLC company), is looking for skilled individuals who are looking to be part of a growing company.
Marton Technologies, Inc ( A Panum Group, LLC company) is seeking an experienced Finisher/Painter III to join an existing contract at Fort Belvoir, VA. The selected individual will be responsible for applying drywall compound to the seams between drywall panels and to nail and screw indentations on the surface of the panels. The finisher will work on new walls and ceilings and may repair existing walls as well. They may prepare high walls and ceilings that require the use of ladders or scaffolding. They are also responsible for painting interior and exterior surfaces of residential or commercial buildings using paint, varnishes, lacquers, sealers, or stains. **Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints
+ Smooth out imperfections
+ Read blueprints and designs
+ Fill joints in-between panels with spackle
+ Use trowels to spread spackle
+ Press paper tape into compound
+ Smooth away excess material
+ Cover nail and screw depressions with spackle
+ Apply second and third coats of compound
+ Sand areas after each coast
+ Apply paint to surfaces including canvas, walls, floors, doors, and cabinets
+ Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes
+ Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting
+ Clean walls to ensure proper adherence
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ HS Diploma or higher is required
+ Vocational or other postsecondary training
+ Strong customer service skills
+ Strong knowledge of maintenance operations
+ Strong communication skills
+ Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
