Atmo is seeking a seasoned Government Relations Director to shape our engagement with public sector entities within the dynamic Southeast Asian market. This pivotal role reports directly to the Vice President of Government Relations and Business Development, spearheading efforts to secure Atmo's position as a trusted technology partner for government agencies and stakeholders across the region.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with key government officials, policymakers, and their advisors across the diverse Southeast Asian landscape.
- Monitor, analyze, and proactively communicate emerging policy and regulatory trends impacting the weather technology and AI sectors.
- Build and execute government outreach strategies that align Atmo's capabilities with the diverse weather intelligence needs of public sector entities.
- Craft compelling messaging and presentations showcasing the value proposition of Atmo's solutions for government-centric use cases.
- Represent Atmo at relevant conferences, industry events, and working groups, establishing our brand as an authoritative voice in the Southeast Asian weather technology landscape.
- Collaborate closely with Business Development, Product, and Regional teams to inform regional strategies and drive successful adoption of Atmo's solutions by government partners.
Requirements
- Extensive prior experience in government relations within the Southeast Asia region, with a demonstrable track record of success.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, International Relations, Law, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Deep understanding of the political, legal, and regulatory environments across key Southeast Asian markets.
- Superior strategic thinking and planning capabilities, including the ability to translate complex policy issues into actionable insights for the company.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to build trust and establish rapport with high-level stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and at least one major Southeast Asian language.
