Job Details

The Clinical Support Representative Lead coordinates and oversees the activities of the front office and CSR team members to ensure compassionate and professional care for patients and effective and efficient front office workflow.

QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or higher preferred, but not required
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English (Spanish beneficial)
Medical Front Office or administrative experience, preferably at an FQHC
Supervisory or management experience preferred
MS Word, Excel, and Outlook experience required
Knowledge of insurance verification; dental, medical, and behavioral health
Must have reliable transportation to be able to travel to different locations
Must be flexible with schedule (able to work different times and weekends)
Advanced understanding of medical insurance as it relates to appointment scheduling

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize and assign duties and tasks to Front Office team members and ensure that they are completed
accurately, efficiently, and timely.
Identify and recommend solutions to front-office team members for any office issues or problems that
arise.
Review daily Front Office collections and pre-check for Finance/Accounting
Serve as a backup for Front Office team members as needed.
Manage verification of insurance to ensure accurate billing
Participate in required meetings, training sessions, and committees
Manage provider schedule changes, answering service messages, telephone encounters, emails, and correspondence from other ELFHCC staff in the Front Office.
Prepare reports on Front Office activities and performance as needed.

CRITICAL SKILL/REQUIREMENTS

  • Exceptional clinical skills; interpersonal skills; basic computer
  • Ability to communicate, professionally, and effectively, both orally and written.
  • Ability to work in a team under a supervisor/manager.
  • Must have a passion for working with the uninsured, underinsured, and underserved.

Physical Demands: Work is performed in a fast-paced office and community setting with local travel required. Physical demands include prolonged sitting/standing and phone use. Lifting and carrying equipment and supplies (5-10 lbs.) may be required.

Compensation: Salary commensurate with education and experience.
