Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision of the Tri Tool Production Operations team - individual will perform a variety of duties in support of Manufacturing. Including (but not limited to): Shipping/Receiving Transactions, Warehousing/Inventory Management, and entry-level Manufacturing/Machining tasks.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  1. *Operates power tools and basic machinery (constructing shipping containers, machining production hardware, performing light maintenance tasks, etc.)
  2. *Loading/Unloading freight from trucks, storage containers, and other vehicles - also sorting and stacking materials to be palletized for movement.
  3. *Operating Hand Trucks, Pallet Jacks Forklifts - and other material handling tools.
  4. *Routing materials to prescribed storage locations.
  5. *Picking material from inventory and preparing it for shipment.
  6. *Inspecting materials and products for proper/secure packaging, while maintaining integrity and condition.
  7. *Maintaining records of shipped and received goods (manifests, bills of lading) using various computer software and applications.
  8. *Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.
  9. *Interacting with customers, vendors, and co-workers to facilitate the shipping and receiving of goods.
  10. Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Related work experience and aptitude.
  • Ability to work safely and follow all safety policies involved with proper use of equipment and tools.
  • Entry-level computer skills, including Microsoft Office/similar type applications.
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem solving and common-sense skills.
  • Understanding of the organization(s) serviced.
  • Communication and customer service skills to act responsively and provide procedural/factual information
  • Mathematical ability - including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities.


Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in and working knowledge of the operation of a Hand Truck, forklift, Pallet Jack and other material handling equipment.
  • Working knowledge of systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED

Technical/Other on-the-job training

CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED:

The following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
  • Maneuvering in and around the warehouse/production areas
  • Bending and stooping
  • Lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 35 pounds
  • Pulling or pushing heavier loads
  • May require using a pallet jack
  • Climbing on/off material handling equipment and/or vehicles
  • Viewing Computer screen
  • Utilizing keyboard

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with forklifts, material handling and production equipment. May be exposed to noise from equipment and depending on external weather conditions, some possible exposure to heat, cold, wind, and rain.
