**Primary Objective of the Position**
The Warehouse Specialist position is responsible for execution of all daily functions of the Warehouse including inventory control, inventory transfers, receiving and shipping.
**Job Responsibilities**
* Check in, sort and receive air and sea freight
* Inspect orders that have been picked for accurate quantity, part number, vendor markings and labeling specific to customer requirements
* Accurately pack, prepare and ship orders to customers
* Ensure accurate labeling and movement of inventory throughout the warehouse
* Complete Inventory Control Forms accurately and timely
* Complete daily, monthly, quarterly and year-end cycle and/or inventory counts
* Utilize System Analysis and Program Development (SAP) ERP system and the Warehouse Management Software for all warehouse transactions
* Operate lift trucks and pallet jacks
* Clean and organize workspace and general warehouse areas
* Understand and follow all Warehouse International Organization for Standardization (ISO) procedures
* Assist with Facilities, Quality and special projects as assigned by the Warehouse Manager
* Complete other duties as assigned
Job Requirements **Education and Experience**
* 1 or more years' experience in a warehouse environment preferred
* High school diploma required
* Experience working with SAP or similar ERP system required
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes (KSAAs):**
* Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
* Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
* Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
* Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
* Physical Ability: The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
