JOB SUMMARY


The Visual Merchandising Manager will support the development and execution of visual merchandising strategies across Khaite global wholesale and retail channels.


As the Visual Merchandising Manager, you are responsible for the current and future customer experience, ensuring we are inspiring, industry leading, and that our store s visual expression is reflecting our brand identity.


The Visual Merchandising Manager will be a part of a dynamic, creative atmosphere working with cross-functional partners to ensure that Khaite s visual merchandising standards are continuously elevating the in-store client experience. The position is based in our NY office and reports to the VP, Marketing & Brand Development.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develop creative visual strategy that contributes to and is consistent with brand identity and business objectives, elevating brand through retail concepts and visual presentation.
  • Utilize company tools with own visual talent and skills to plan and execute VM presentation in wholesale environments, retail stores, market activities and events.
  • Develop creative and manage execution of store interiors and fixtures, window displays, event environments and special projects.
  • Weekly merchandising of the NY Mercer Flagship and local shop in shops (Saks and BG).
  • Merchandise collection and support Sales and PR team during market and press events.
  • In consultation with merchandising, marketing, store design, retail, and wholesale, develop seasonal visual initiatives supporting merchandising and design, and company goals.
  • Develop fixture and branded environments with store design.
  • Develop full store experience programs including music, d cor, fixtures, windows, and signage.
  • Implement best practices for global Visual Merchandising in stores, special events and seasonal implementations and through ongoing visual merchandising directives.
  • Develop visual merchandising guidelines and creative styling direction for stores and retail partners.
  • Present a variety of strategies for improvement of channel performance and through a dynamic and relevant seasonal collection approach.
  • Develop visual presentations to increase sales through visual impact and align to key shopping moments across all global markets and channels.
  • Monitor competitors' visual merchandising techniques and incorporate effective solutions to maintain market relevance.
  • Organize training workshops for visual merchandising, retail and wholesale teams in the region and assist in setting up new direction and enforcing integrity of VM standards.
  • Oversee VM P&L
  • Manage all branded collateral development in partnership with oversight from VP of Brand/Marketing
  • Develop, design, and produce seasonal showrooms for each collection in both New York and Paris (2x/Season, 8x annually) with innovative creative that reflects the collection's overall direction. Showroom ROS production and oversight during sale and press appointments.
  • Work closely with architects and designers on global wholesale Pop Up and Shop in Shop initiatives to align KHAITE ethos with on the ground needs to drive sales, leading where necessary.
  • Create communication tools for better global understanding and implementation and consistency of in-store merchandise assortment, presentation.
  • Design and manage pop-up shop-in-shop installations to accompany capsule collections and launch events.
  • Develop and train direct reports and support them in attaining individual, department, and company goals.
  • Create visual structure and department over time that supports the goals and objectives of the Visual Merchandising and Brand Experience.
  • Provide training to ensure that brand standards are being implemented; evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and update as necessary.

Education/Experience:

  • 5-7 years experience in visual merchandising and presentation, preferably in the luxury industry
  • Proficient in basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and basic photo/visual design tools software
  • Flexibility to travel 25%
  • Knowledge in Adobe Suite preferred

The salary range is $85,000-100,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon the candidates' relevant skills and experience. Other benefits include a company bonus plan, employee discounts, medical, dental, vision, a 401k plan and other ancillary benefits.
