LaSalle Network has partnered with a national leading distribution company who is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their growing team! They have been in business for over 60 years and specialize in providing high-quality products to their customers across various industries.
As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the accounts receivable process. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a keen eye for accuracy and a passion for numbers. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Springfield, MO.
Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities:
- Customer invoice processing: accurately process and record customer invoices, ensuring proper coding and timely distribution
- Post and reconcile daily cash receipts and credit card transactions
- Prepare and send customer statements, reminders and dunning letters for outstanding balances
- Research and resolve customer billing inquiries and disputes in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, payments and correspondence
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue invoices to ensure timely payment
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries related to accounts receivable
- Generate and analyze accounts receivable reports, providing insights to management on customer payment trends and aging analysis
- Collaborate with sales, customer service and other departments to resolve customer issues and improve billing processes
Accounts Receivable Specialist Requirements: - High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in accounts receivable required
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues effectively
