Description:

Marlabs Design Advisory & Consulting is looking for a dynamic leader to join our Divergence team with demonstrated User Experience Strategy, Design Thinking and Consulting experience. In this role, the UX/ Experience Strategic Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the user centered approach to any consulting engagements, across all solutions and all industries we serve.

The User Experience Strategic Consultant is expected to identify and solve complex problems, construct measurable strategies, engage with peer teams/subject matter experts, stakeholders and improve the operational and technical health of a clients organization, with limited oversight. This individual must be well versed in current UX trends, technical solutions, cloud platforms, across diverse industries and be able to talk shop with a range of client stakeholders.

Although cross-industry experience is preferred, the User Experience Strategic Consultant is expected to leverage industry expertise and insights from various sources, and technical knowledge across Marlabs Consulting offerings, to improve the customer s business processes, executive strategies, and organizational change.


The User Experience Strategic Consultant is expected to be the principal resource in the coordination of subject matter experts, client stakeholders, and Marlabs peers across our business, design, and technology tracks. It s expected for this role to understand the true criteria and tenants of enterprise-wide digital transformation in differing client and industry environments.


Key Responsibilities:

Efficiently translate concepts into a variety of artifacts that lead to a clear understanding of the user experience solutions through compelling stories.

Facilitate client or your team s product visions by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for digital products and human processes.

Create a variety of UX deliverables as part of client engagements including but not limited to personas, persona maps, current and future state journeys, process maps and workflows, service blueprints, product/feature backlogs, landing pages, etc.

Act as go to with in-depth knowledge of user interface best practices and standards. Use research-related services, theories and methods to support your recommendations.

Experience in designing, planning, and facilitating live and virtual workshops with clients.

Conduct research, analyze and draw insights from quantitative and qualitative data.

Apply your understanding of emerging business and technology trends to enable you able to communicate how those trends affect and enable experiences from a user perspective (e.g., Product and Platform Strategy, Legacy Core App/Infra Modernization, Cloud Enablement, Data Sciences, Analytics and Insights, and Immersive Experiences AR/VR and Gen AI).

Demonstrated ability to create meaningful, measurable, and timely user-focused transformation strategies that align with business goals and requirements.

You are acute to people psychology; behaviors and you can translate your finding in compelling personas and consumer journeys or other artifacts that captures their needs and connections.

Ability to articulate how proposed User Experience and product strategies will impact the users and how they can be implemented through a variety of custom built or out-of-the-box solutions.

Passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry s latest trends and technologies.

Ability to design and communicate impactful point of views that educate, facilitate alignment, and inspire change across cross-functional teams and multiple levels of leadership.

Strong communicator who can break down and articulate complex concepts, technologies, and novel ideas in a way that all levels of stakeholders can understand.

Participate in creating a POV to support sales opportunities or RFP s where discovery and UX deliverables are needed.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Product Design, Psychology, or a related field.

At least 8 years of on-the-ground UX experience or Product Design experience, some preferably within a large Consultancy, Agency, or Innovation lab.

Demonstrated experience leading enterprise level projects and engaging with senior and executive-level leadership.

Expertise in UX software such as Sketch, InVision, Axure, Figma, or similar.

Self-starter who is organized, well versed in planning, and executing consultative projects.

Ability to work remote and willingness to travel up to 50% for client engagements.


Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Design Thinking Certification(s) from an accredited institution is a plus (IDEO Certifications for example)

Agile Project Management experience

Design for Platform/Digital Transformation

Experience with CRM, MarTech and Service platforms

Immersive media production skills a plus (video creation/production)
