As a Medication Nursing Assistant at NCG Associates, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective medication administration to patients in various healthcare settings.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Medication Nursing Assistant (MNA) in the state of practice
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Medication Nursing Assistant preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
- Ability to accurately calculate dosages and administer medications
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
Responsibilities
- Administer medication to patients according to physician orders
- Accurately calculate dosages and ensure proper medication administration
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects
- Document medication administration and patient response
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living as needed
- Communicate with healthcare team members regarding patients' medication needs and changes
