  • Provide sales and customer support for (insert specialist) within the assigned area of responsibility. All calls should have customers and salespeople on the line. Calls defined as but not limited to phone, Teams, Zoom and any other platforms.
  • Provide training and assist vendors with coordination of training for the branches you are responsible for.
  • Work with existing sales teams to support all sales efforts. Understanding the goal is teach them not do it for them .
  • Establish long-term relationships with target customers, engineers and industry OEMs that utilize the type of products you represent.
  • Scope construction projects where you do not have project coordinators to identify and develop a complete list of products that Harrington Industrial Plastics, LLC can furnish. Synchronize sales activities with other specialty groups (e.g., Pump & Filtration, FRP & PLS, Instrumentation and any future groups) at the appropriate time in the project cycle.
  • Meet with engineering companies, construction managers and equipment vendors as needed. This includes supporting the assigned salesperson for engineering specification changes and cost estimations. Manage multiple moving parts the project location, engineering design team and equipment vendors who are likely to be in varied locations.
  • Coordinate vendor efforts to secure product approvals and specifications.
  • Maintain and coordinate a list of target projects and customers in Fastrack. Notify the appropriate branch of potential projects in their territory.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and recommending any corrective actions.
  • Prepare Request for Quotation (RFQ) letters for vendors to be used on the project.
  • Prepare Quotations for products that Harrington Industrial Plastics, LLC will furnish on the project.
  • Prepare Submittal Packages for products that Harrington Industrial Plastics, LLC will furnish on the project. Contribute to the development and maintenance of a product submittal library.
  • Review data to determine product and material conformance to project requirements.
  • Keep management informed with monthly check in document.
  • Communicate project progress to Branch personnel involved with the project.
  • Solicit feedback and inform Regional / Area Sales Manager on current projects, both negative and positive.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience or training in industrial wholesale distribution in the pipe, valve and fitting industry preferred
  • 2-3 years of outside sales experience
