**Description**
**The responsibilities will include the following:**
* Ensures nutritious meals are ready at a specified time.
* Follows types and quantities of meats, vegetables and soups prepared by reviewing planned menus.
* Ability to follow therapeutic diet menus, recipes and instruct cooks helpers on the same.
* Tests food being cooked to ensure doneness. Adjust heat controls, as necessary. Able to re-calibrate thermometers as needed.
* Ensure cooking area is santized and assist in serving meals to the staff and the patients.
**Qualified candidates should have the following:**
* Must have a High School Diploma
* Must have at least 1-year experience of commercial cooking preferably in a healthcare setting
* Able to exhibit professional attitude and conduct with staff, patients and family members
* Able to work the schedule as prescribed for the department
