Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role as a Pharmacy Technician located in Westport, MA.The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for supporting pharmacological services in Westport Apothecary. The main tasks of the Pharmacy Technician include processing prescriptions, compounding medications, providing customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining patient records. The Pharmacy Technician will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPht Certified Immunizing Technician preferred (will train)
- Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training program, or equivalent experience of at least one year
- Strong knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Proficiency with computers and common pharmacy software
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and holidays
- Understanding of and adherence to laws, regulations, and standards related to pharmacy operations and patient confidentiality
