Quality Inspector


Job Details

Essential Functions:

  • Inspects garment/accessory for defects, shading, meeting specifications.
  • Measures to verify item is within specification tolerances.
  • Logs all inspection results including rejects. Documents reason for reject, operator and operation being rejected.
  • Reports audit findings to supervision and management.
  • Performs the Quality Audit Measurements on finished goods, to verify that product conforms to the specified requirements.


Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, work proactively and independently in a fast-changing environment.

  • Good attendance record


Physical Requirements:

  • Light Carrying: Physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds from one location to another.
  • Moderate Carrying: Physically carrying items weighing 15 to 44 pounds.
  • Usage of Hands: Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm.
  • Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with fingers (including thumb) and palm.
  • Light Lifting: Raising objects under 15 pounds from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from one position to another.
  • Moderate Lifting: Lifting objects between 15 to 44 pounds.
  • Repetitive Motion: Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for sustained periods of time.
  • Standing: Eight-ten hours at a time.
  • Visual Requirements: Ability to read computer screen and job cards (i.e. ability to read/see PC screens, detect color coding, read fine-print and/or standard-size print.


Mental Requirements:

  • Displays ambitious, positive attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with site leadership and teammates. May be required to occasionally interact with suppliers and customers.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to comprehend oral and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to make decisions that have a moderate impact on immediate work.
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions/guidelines.
  • Ability to complete routine forms, use existing form letters, and/or to verbally communicate technical information.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of communicating accurate information with others in a concise manner.
  • Ability to accurately count
  • Ability to read a ruler and understand the measurements.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills to record, balance, and verify accuracy.

  • Computer
  • Oracle


Relationships & Contacts:

  • Communicates with Supervisors, Line Leads, management staff, Sewing Operators, Quality Inspectors, and other team members. May occasionally encounter customers, suppliers and corporate staff.
