**EHS Manager**

Responsible for the activities of all EHS department personnel and ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety standards at the Dentsply Sirona, Milford Division including CAA, EPCRA, CWA, SARA, CERCLA, OSHA, RCRA, TSCA, HMTA, and state and local ordinances related to Life Safety. Additionally, this position will lead the organization pertaining to the EHS Mission, Vision, and Strategy ensuring compliance, program development, implementation, and sustainability.

* Develop comprehensive lean EHS systems based on proven EHS methodology in a manner promoting site leadership, supervision and employee EHS accountability, as well as support employee engagement and control of EHS risk.

* Standardize and communicate EHS systems and provide leadership support to all site employees and external contractors to assure compliance with applicable federal, state and local EHS regulations and corporate EHS standards.

* Review new and changing EHS regulatory requirements to support site EHS compliance assurance.

* Serve as the main site contact for EHS regulatory authorities including, but not limited to US EPA, OSHA, DOT, DHS, DNREC, DEMA, DSWA, etc.

* Identify and deliver effective EHS training programs for employees and external contractors that will foster a positive culture, as well as promote EHS awareness, accountability and compliance assurance .

* Develop and monitor key EHS KPIs and provide site leadership with strategic feedback and direction to assure that EHS concerns and gaps are addressed in a timely and effective manner.

* Develop and support strategies that support and monitor employee health matters, ensuring they are addressed in a timely and effective manner.

* Manage EHS staff and resources to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and support an ongoing safe work environment at the Milford facility.

* Support EHS risk assessment of production processes and equipment to ensure their safe and compliant operation.

* Manage the preparation and submission of all EHS regulatory submissions, technical reports, permit applications, monitoring data, EPCRA reports, etc., ensuring site leadership understanding and agreement prior to submission.

* Participate in the development of the site EHS budget and provide guidance on EHS aspects for capital project and other site expenditures.

* Support the site effort to eliminate and minimize waste, and to identify feasible means to reduce waste related risk and liability while minimizing cost.

* Serve as the primary Incident Commander; Divisional Emergency Response Coordinator; and Divisional Site Safety and Health Supervisor.

* Support internal corporate and agency regulatory audits (e.g. OSHA, DNREC/EPA, DOT, Corporate Interdivisional, etc.), function as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities.

* Other duties as assigned

**Education/Experience:**

* Bachelors Degree in specified discipline and 6-10 years related work experience or Masters Degree in specified discipline and 4 years related work experience preferred

* An equivalent combination of training and experience would be considered

**Certifications/Licensing:**

* Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred

**Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:**

* Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safely laws and regulations including Delaware Workers Compensation laws

* Practical experience implementing EHS processes and programs at an industrial facility

* Ability to produce training materials for in-house courses; ability to amend and revise training programs as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment; ability to deliver effective training using a variety of techniques

* Experience in conducting risk assessments using Job Safety Analysis or other proven techniques

* Experience in auditing processes and using the information to make changes

* Ability to obtain results through others

* Knowledge of PC applications such as MS Word, Excel, Power point, and E-Mail

* Current knowledge of EHS regulations and how to access and navigate regulatory databases
