Unpublished Opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Associate in Stamford, CT - Our client offers a unique opportunity to work in a collegial small firm environment on complex high-stakes litigation matters for sophisticated clients. The firm litigates a spectrum of complex business matters throughout the country, and frequently partners with some of the nations' top trial lawyers.

The ideal candidate has 2 - 5 years of substantive litigation experience working on commercial litigation matters from case inception to close and is familiar with State and Federal court practice rules. Experience working on cases involving breach of fiduciary duty, claims against corporate officers and directors, breach of contract, equitable subordination, and fraudulent transfer of claims is a plus, but not required. Responsibilities include preparing pleadings, motions and briefs; managing discovery and depositions; conducting legal research; appearing for hearings and case conferences; preparing for trial; and assisting with settlement related needs. E-Discovery experience is preferred, and experience with CS DISCO is a plus. Admission to the CT Bar is required, and an additional admission to the NY Bar is a plus.

Requirements include strong research and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively and deliver high-quality work product, strong attention to detail skills, and the desire to be an invaluable member of a small team.
