Reports To

The Testing Technician will report to the Testing Supervisor.

Job Summary

The Testing Technician will apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test control panels and enclosures electrically. The Testing Technician will ensure wiring matches schematics and will troubleshoot and resolve errors when presented.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide technical assistance and resolution should electrical or engineering problems be encountered.
  • Modify electrical parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations.
  • Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate systems under simulated operating conditions and record results.
  • Implement quality assurance policies while performing inspections and function testing.
  • Ensure the company products meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain standards for reliability and performance of production.
  • Operate hydraulic pallet jack.
  • Act professionally at all times and occasionally represent the company while working with customers.


Requirements

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical degree in an electrical related field or six months to one year of hands-on electrical/ electronic experience. Working knowledge of AC & DC electrical circuitry.
  • Knowledge of electrical fundamentals and computer-related applications.
  • Familiarity with schematics.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and sharp attention to detail.


Physical Requirements
  • Continuous speaking, hearing, and visual (including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus) effort.
  • Frequent standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and handling.
  • Commonly lifting/moving of up to 40 lbs. individually.
  • Occasionally lifting/moving 50-100 lbs. with assistance.

Exposure to loud noises, drilling, cutting, banging, and typical manufacturing production physical hazards.
