Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, VDI Project Manager

In this role, you will play a crucial role in project management, with a focus on implementing VDI solutions to enhance workforce productivity and efficiency.


Responsibilities


  • comprehensive project plans for VDI implementations, including scope definition, resource allocation, timelines, and deliverables.
  • with key stakeholders to gather requirements, define project objectives, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • cross-functional project teams consisting of architects, engineers, administrators, and vendors to execute VDI projects effectively and efficiently.
  • potential risks and issues that may impact project success, and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
  • project budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • with external vendors and service providers to procure hardware, software, and services required for VDI implementations, and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • quality standards and metrics for VDI projects, and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • change management processes to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth transitions for end-users migrating to VDI environments.
  • accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and post-implementation reviews.
  • training sessions and knowledge transfer activities for end-users and support staff to promote adoption and proficiency with VDI technologies.



Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

  • in project management, with at least 2 years of experience managing VDI projects from initiation to closure.
  • with VDI technologies such as VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS), as well as cloud-based VDI solutions like Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
  • in project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and overcome challenges.
  • analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.


Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • management certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 are preferred but not required.
  • degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant professional training are a plus.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is [$65,000 to $75,000]. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
