We get it the title Wholesale/Retail Fulfillment + Logistics Specialist can encompass just about anything. But essentially you ll be providing day-to-day support to both our Wholesale Customer Service + Operations Manager, as well as our VP of Trade Marketing + Sales Operations. You ll be on the front lines to ensure our wholesale customers (primarily national and regional wholesale distributors) and retail customers (primarily national and regional convenience store chains and smoke shops) are getting the very best customer service possible on their orders and fulfillment services, as well as ensuring all relevant internal Black Buffalo stakeholders are apprised of information and analytics that help them do their very best work.

Compensation: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience, including benefits (health, dental, vision) Target pay $65K

Location: Primarily work from home, with occasional travel (1-2x/mo) to manufacturing and distribution sites

Responsibilities

  • Ensure rigorous standards of compliance are upheld in everyday interactions with external customers and internal Black Buffalo stakeholders.
  • Monitor finished goods inventory levels and facilitate inventory transfers between different warehouse locations to meet wholesale and retail sales demand, coordinating with Wholesale/Retail and Production teams, and direct-to-consumer (DTC) demand, coordinating with the Marketing and Brand teams.
  • Daily processing of wholesale customer orders received and shipments in ordering / inventory management systems to ensure on time shipping and receiving.
  • Utilize inventory management systems to transfer and receive orders to different warehouse locations.
  • Manage customer escalations and requests to ensure efficient resolution.
  • Review service delivery failures and contact responsible Black Buffalo Retail personnel when issues arise to ensure efficient resolution.
  • Analyze wholesale customer returns and processing thereof.
  • Record and track daily remittances in the Order to Cash file, coordinating with the Finance team.
  • Coordinate with point-of-sale vendors to facilitate shipments to Retail locations and Black Buffalo Retail personnel.
  • Monitor and report on wholesale KPIs related to service delivery, efficiency, error rates, time-to-resolution, etc.
  • Embrace ongoing process development and beneficial changes to identify better solutions systematically across Black Buffalo s organizational structure.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to work in small-team environments, often working remotely and/or autonomously, delivering results with little to no oversight.
  • Strong knowledge of business processes, data analysis, quality control and logistics.
  • Experience as a customer service and logistics specialist (min. 5 years).
  • Experience utilizing inventory management software, order fulfillment software and EDI systems.
  • Results-oriented and people-focused, with a high sense of responsibility.
  • Highly efficient in working through tasks, including ability to manage short- and long-term projects and deadlines with multiple stakeholders.
  • Highly functional in Microsoft Excel, functional in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Logistics or related field.
  • Familiarity with Fishbowl, Lily Pad and SPS Commerce applications is a plus.
