Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our client's dynamic team. This is a hybrid role based in Florida, offering the opportunity for both remote and in-office work. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting financial planning and analysis efforts, with a specific focus on administering the adaptive planning tool.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to drive decision-making.
- Assist in the administration and optimization of the adaptive planning tool, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
- Prepare and present financial reports and presentations to senior management, providing meaningful analysis and recommendations.
- Conduct variance analysis to assess performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans, incorporating input from various stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on new challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with experience administering planning tools such as Adaptive Insights or similar platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to manipulate large datasets and create impactful presentations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present findings to senior leadership.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
