They are hiring for a Superintendent to be based on a $4.4BN project in Jefferson, OH - you do not need to be based locally but must be open to regular travel to the site.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the construction site, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities to meet project objectives.
Safety and Compliance:
- Promote a culture of safety on the construction site and enforce compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify hazards and ensure that safety protocols are followed by all workers and subcontractors.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that workmanship and materials meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages of construction to identify defects or deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and compliance documentation.
Resource Management:
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for the project.
- Manage labor resources effectively, including hiring, training, and supervising construction workers and subcontractor crews.
Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, issues, and milestones through written reports, meetings, and presentations.
