We re looking for a highly motivated, experienced Lead Operator to join our production team!

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring process areas to ensure established run rates and cycle times are met, troubleshoot areas if needed
  • Ensure Operators are adhering to documented procedures and correctly filling out paperwork as required
  • Direct Batch Makers in the manufacturing processes (examples: take samples at designated times, monitor process equipment, stage raw materials, monitor temp and pressure during feeds, etc..)
  • Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, support plant initiatives such as Safety, Housekeeping Upkeep, Training, and Communicating shift status
  • Ensure raw materials are managed and staged for current batches as needed and returned to proper inventory locations as directed
  • Audit batch paperwork and SAP entries as required
  • Develop, train, and mentor Operator talent by offering constructive criticism and feedback on process safety, operations, process equipment, efficiency while producing batches
  • Able to coach production operators on processes and procedures.
  • Work together with Shift Supervisor and Lead Operator B to plan workday of Operators on shift and communicate plan to interested parties
  • Take ownership of Shift Responsibilities when Supervisor is absent, communicating status to management on issues throughout the shift
  • Proactively drive workplace culture of clean and organized work areas
  • Track multiple tasks throughout the day


Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma required
  • 7-10 years of experience in a batch chemical manufacturing setting
  • Experience in PSM setting
  • Competent with Microsoft Office
  • SAP experience desirable


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills Positive can do attitude, stress tolerant, ability to inspire others
  • Ability to assign others with multiple tasks (batches, vessel cleaning, etc)
  • Knowledge of chemical manufacturing operations
  • Knowledge of PSM processes
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and practices as applied in a chemical manufacturing setting
  • Strong verbal and communications skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in an organization
  • Ability to troubleshoot processes and equipment

Schedule:

  • Overtime
  • Night Shift (7pm - 7am)
  • Rotating weekends


Education:


  • High school or equivalent
