The Manufacturing Manager will play a pivotal role in facilitating the relocation of these operations from our Midwest facility to Springfield, MO. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of the transition process, from initial planning and coordination to execution and post-transition evaluation. The Manufacturing Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the relocation is completed on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to business operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive transition plan outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, department heads, and employees, to communicate the transition plan, address concerns, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Vendor Management: Identify and engage external vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed to support the transition process. Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of services and adherence to quality standards.

Logistics Coordination: Oversee all logistical aspects of the relocation, including facility setup, equipment transportation, IT infrastructure migration, and employee relocation assistance.

Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity throughout the transition period.

Budget Oversight: Monitor project expenses and expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize project spending.

Quality Assurance: Establish performance metrics and benchmarks to measure the success of the transition process. Conduct regular assessments and post-transition evaluations to identify areas for improvement and ensure that project objectives are met.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all project activities, including project plans, progress reports, and stakeholder communications. Provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders on project status, milestones achieved, and upcoming deliverables.

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a cross-functional team of project stakeholders, including internal employees and external contractors, to ensure collaboration, accountability, and successful project outcomes.

Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback, analyzing lessons learned, and implementing best practices to optimize future transition processes.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

Proven experience 5-10 years in Production Management preferably in the food, beverage or pharmaceutical industries. Project management, with a track record of successfully leading complex transition projects.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, JIRA) and Microsoft Office Suite.

PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience highly preferred.
