The Maintenance Technician supports operation, inspection, and light maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. This is an entry-level position and can provide opportunities for growth in the engineering field. You will work as part of an engineering team of 6 at 1.2 million sq ft JLL managed campus in Broomfield, CO 80021. This position requires the Maintenance Technician to be on-site.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM w/overtime as needed

Reporting to: Chief Engineer
Type of Employment: Full-Time w/JLL employee benefits within 1 month of employment

Estimated compensation: $23.32 to $28.56 hourly paid bi-weekly

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to; painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.

  • Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.

  • Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds, and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings.

  • Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities. This to include building automation systems, fire / life safety systems, and any other building related equipment.

  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.

  • Any and other duties and tasks assigned.

Physical Work Requirements & Conditions
  • Lifting up to 80 lbs.

  • Working from heights.

  • Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.

  • Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot).

  • Driving for long periods of time.

  • Climbing a ladder with a 300 lb. weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.

  • Climbing a ladder up to 30 feet.

Required experience and technical skills
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience; general building repair & maintenance in the commercial industry

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license

  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) &/or Building Management System (BMS)

  • Strong Customer Service & Interpersonal skills

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)

  • Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable
