Hydro is seeking a manufacturing Corporate Recruiter to join our Chicago team!

Job Summary:


Due to our substantial growth, we have a fantastic full time career opportunity in Chicago for a qualified Corporate Recruiter with manufacturing experience in our Human Resources Department. This is a fast-paced position that handles multi-site recruiting for our sites across North America simultaneously. You will be recruiting for all positions and focusing on skilled trades. You will research identify, screen, interview and recommend qualified candidates to meet the needs of our multi-site growing business. This effort will go beyond recruiting within the US. You will expand your efforts to recruit and manage candidates from across the North America and internationally. Global exposure within a multi-site facility is essential for recruiting and to partner with associates across the business to hire exceptional talent inspired by our mission to provide the best-in-class services to our customers.


The successful candidate will report to the Director of Human Resources and be responsible for the following:


Essential Job Responsibilities


Fundamental Knowledge:

  • Learn the pump reengineering business and the roles and job requirements within the organization.
  • Serve as a vital resource to the HR team, sharing best practices and insight.
  • Independently drive the recruiting process and continue to focus on priorities accordingly.
  • Demonstrate insight to position specifications, staffing plans and hiring needs, prioritize work accordingly.
  • Partner with hiring managers to refine job requisitions and share information that facilitates an innovative hiring strategy.

Candidate Sourcing/Screening/Interviewing:

  • Develop initial sourcing plans and utilize local, national, traditional advertising, social media and other resources to advertise vacancies focusing on hiring industrial skilled labor and other open positions.
  • Source passive candidates for tough to fill roles and work toward building talent pipelines.
  • Identify, screen, interview and engage and recommend qualified candidates that meet the requirements of the job descriptions.

Market Research:

  • Provide consultative recruiting services, including analyzing market research and provide competitive intelligence within our local markets.
  • Be updated on competitive market surveys. Map out competitors in local areas.

Candidate Management:

  • Work closely with Director of HR to develop strategies on meeting the hiring needs for the company.
  • Build and nurture an active pipeline of candidates and be able to identify skilled labor machinists and mechanics.
  • Champion the company s employment brand message, employee referral program, vision and all we offer.
  • Establish and continue to reinforce relationships with hiring managers, communicating consistently to update on the weekly status of open roles, strategies for upcoming needs and hiring plans.
  • Actively engage in attending recruiting events, including university job fairs and technical college job fairs.
  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions with candidates and help to expand the program.

Data Management:

  • Develop weekly recruiting status report and present your results in meetings.
  • Update the HRIS system with candidate information.
  • Prepare job requisitions in a timely manner.
  • Update and create new job descriptions and matrixes, as necessary.
  • Comply with FLSA and state laws and company policies.


Job Qualifications:

  • Assertive with strong sales skills with the ability to effectively sell job opportunities to candidates.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, or Human Resources desired.
  • 5+ years proven experience as a Corporate Recruiter with skilled trades, including machinists and mechanics.
  • In-depth knowledge of recruitment strategies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with employment labor laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HR software systems and running reports, organize and gather data effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks .
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • This position requires that you are able to work 100% on a full time in-office professional environment with standard work hours.
  • Minimal travel on occasion as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
