As an integral part of the Gen Re Global Life Business Technology team, the Technical Business Analyst will work with cross-functional stakeholders and external clients to understand their business needs and design, build, and operationalize the best-in-class solutionsThis role is responsible for leading business requirements, analysis and testing phases of a projectTechnical Business Analyst also contributes to the overall planning, technical design and implementation of a project including process changesThe Technical Business Analyst role is expected to work independently on multiple assignments with a sense of urgency, structure, and attention to detailProvide analysis, technical design and planning activities for business and technology initiatives:Determine and define project scope and objectivesPerform and document requirements gathering and analysisDesign high level technical solutions including frontends, databases and interfacesFacilitate business process changesManage the product development team to create a strong end productDevelop and implement test plans to ensure successful deliverySchedule and lead meetings to identify and correct issuesProvide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progressPrepare solution for deployment including support staffing, documentation, maintenance procedures and trainingSmall to medium size projectsPredict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient mannerPrepare project budget and track costsDevelop and manage a detailed project schedule and work planPartner with cross-functional users to maintain and develop high quality solutions in a timely and cost-effective mannerCollaborate with internal Technology resources to drive enterprise-wide strategies, procedures, and standardsProvide end-users support including business queries and requestsProvide technical assistance and cross training to business users and other team membersQualifications

Role Description

As an integral part of the Gen Re Global Life Business Technology team, the Technical Business Analyst will work with cross-functional stakeholders and external clients to understand their business needs and design, build, and operationalize the best-in-class solutions. Technical Business Analyst also contributes to the overall planning, technical design and implementation of a project including process changes. Small to medium size projects

- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

- Prepare project budget and track costs

- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work planPartner with cross-functional users to maintain and develop high quality solutions in a timely and cost-effective mannerAbility to work/meet during flexible hours. This person will need to coordinate with international users across different time zones (USA, Europe and Asia).Collaborate with internal Technology resources to drive enterprise-wide strategies, procedures, and standardsProvide end-users support including business queries and requestsProvide technical assistance and cross training to business users and other team members

Role Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor s Degree or higher in Information Science or related field is preferred. Equivalent combination of experience, education and training will be considered7 or more years of experience as product owner, business analyst or project manager of software development and BI related projects through the full life cycle requiredProduct Owner and/or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification or equivalent is preferredKnowledge of Insurance or Re-insurance domain preferredKnowledge of SQL and relational databases is preferredProven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timelineStrong working knowledge of SDLC and Agile development principles and processesDemonstrated ability to translate complex technical terminology, concepts and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and resource staffAbility to work collaboratively throughout the organization by establishing effective working relationshipsCreative and innovative thinkerStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

Salary Range

91,000.00 - 152,000.00 USD

The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
