This means that integrity, adherence to our ethical standards, and compliance with legal obligations are fundamental responsibilities for every employee at NPR.We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Network and Telecom Engineer with expertise in Cisco Switching, Routing and Datacenter Technologies with some Telecom Infrastructure management experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data and voice infrastructure for NPR. You will lead a team of data and voice engineers to ensure high levels of availability, performance, and security for our datacenter infrastructure. You will work closely with other IT departments to ensure that the data and voice architecture meets business requirements and that any issues are quickly resolved.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide detailed planning, design, and implementation of Network and Telecom infrastructure across all our locationsSupport current operating environment and implement necessary upgrades and enhancements ensuring high availability and performanceDesign and implement complex data solutions using Cisco technologies such as ACI, SDWAN, Wireless, Meraki, Cisco DNA, Routers, Catalyst switches, Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco Firewalls, Cisco MDS Switches, Cisco ISE and WAN technologies.Design and Implement IP based Telecom solutions with the concentration of Voice/Video over IPDevelop and maintain data and voice infrastructure according to best practices and ensure that it satisfies security and compliance requirementsManage data and voice vendors for bandwidth requirements and capacity managementEffectively troubleshoot and resolve data and voice issues for minimal operations disruptionDevelop and maintain detailed data and voice documentation and diagramsKeep up-to-date by evaluating and incorporating emerging data and voice technologiesCollaborate with other IT departments to ensure that the data and voice infrastructure supports our business needsREQUIREMENTS5+ years of experience in working with data and voice technologies in corporate and datacenter environmentStrong knowledge of Cisco networking and telecom technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless devices, and telephony systemsExpertise in Cisco ACI, SDWAN, Wireless, Meraki, Cisco DNA, Cisco ISE, and FMCExperience with datacenter technologies such as Zoning, VSANs, Fabric Extenders, and Virtual Port Channels (VPC)Experience in LAN switching technologies and expertise with routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, BGP etc.Experience with WAN and Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, IPsec, Direct Connect is preferredExperience implementing Audio/Video over IP and IP MulticastExperience with Avaya Telephony system, IX Voicemail and IP office is preferredStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThis position requires to be a part of on-call schedule where you need to be onsite at HQ office for 2 weeks every few months.Must have Cisco certifications CCNA and CCNP Enterprise. CCNP Datacenter is preferred. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTBachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field is a plusWorking Conditions:This is a full-time hybrid position with typical office hours. However, some after-hours work may be required to resolve data and voice issues or perform system maintenance. Some aspects of this role include duties that are better performed at an NPR facility. The employee will be required to be onsite at the Washington, DC office at least 10 days a year. The employee must also reside in an NPR supported location based on the number of onsite days they choose.JOB TYPEThis is a full time, exempt position.COMPENSATIONSalary Range: The U.S. based anticipated salary range for this opportunity is $121,000 - $142,000 plus benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salaries NPR expects to provide for new hires for the position across all US locations.Benefits: NPR offers access to comprehensive benefits for employees and dependents. Regular, full-time employees scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week are eligible to enroll in NPR s benefits options.
