As a Business Analyst at Graphite GTC, you will play a crucial role in shaping our operational and financial strategies within the GRID system and electrical distribution sectors. Your responsibilities encompass overseeing and influencing decision-making for major capital projects ranging from $100 million to $1 billion. Leveraging a deep understanding of electrical distribution and GRID technologies, you will analyze current systems, forecast future requirements, and propose strategic enhancements. Your work involves developing sophisticated financial models and scenario analyses to support project planning and expansions. Acting as a pivotal link between technical teams and financial stakeholders, you will translate complex technical data into clear, financial insights that guide investment and project prioritization. Additionally, you will engage proactively with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies to ensure project initiatives are aligned with business objectives, compliance standards, and market demands. Your strategic insights will not only enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness but also strengthen our market competitiveness in the energy sector, marking you as a key contributor to Graphite GTC's growth and success.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and influence decision-making for major capital projects within the electrical distribution and GRID system sectors, ranging in value from $100 million to $1 billion.
  • Analyze current electrical distribution systems and GRID technologies to forecast future requirements and propose strategic enhancements.
  • Develop sophisticated financial models and conduct scenario analysis to support project planning, expansions, and investment decisions.
  • Translate complex technical data into clear financial insights to guide project prioritization and stakeholder investments.
  • Engage proactively with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies to align project initiatives with business objectives, compliance standards, and market demands.
  • Lead business process reengineering efforts to optimize operational workflows and enhance efficiency across the organization.
  • Structure deals and evaluate underwriting processes to improve risk assessment and financial structuring within the company's portfolio.
  • Implement portfolio management solutions and streamline reporting of asset performance to enhance decision-making and accountability.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of regulatory and compliance issues affecting project financing and operations within the energy sector.
  • Gather technical requirements and contribute to the writing and development of specifications for new application systems to support reengineered business processes.
  • Identify and advocate for the adoption of innovative digital solutions to support newly reengineered process workflows, enhancing system functionality and user experience.
  • Serve as a key contributor to Graphite GTC s growth and success by providing strategic insights that strengthen market competitiveness and operational cost-effectiveness.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Master's degree or 15 + years experience in this type of role
  • Expertise in Electrical Engineering or GRID Systems: In-depth knowledge of electrical distribution systems and GRID technologies, with the ability to analyze and enhance these systems based on evolving industry standards and technological advancements.
  • Advanced Financial Modeling Skills: Proficiency in building complex financial models and performing scenario analysis to support large-scale capital projects and investment decisions. Familiarity with financial software and advanced Excel skills is essential.
  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing and overseeing major capital projects, demonstrating strong leadership and the ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets effectively.
  • Data Analysis and Statistical Skills: Strong capabilities in statistical analysis and predictive modeling using tools such as Python, R, or MATLAB. Ability to leverage these skills to interpret data and forecast future industry trends.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and financial data to a diverse range of stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape and compliance standards in the energy sector, particularly as they pertain to project financing and operations.
  • Process Improvement and Reengineering: Experience in leading business process reengineering efforts, including the identification, redesign, and implementation of new business processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Technology Implementation: Experience in gathering technical requirements, contributing to system design, and advocating for the integration of digital solutions to support business operations and project management.
