Summary

This versatile individual, under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Sales, is responsible for developing, leading, and executing all season passholder, group sales, and sponsorship strategies and plans for Kentucky Kingdom. With a constant eye on attendance, season passholder sales, group sales, and other key business metrics, the Sales Manager recommends and executes shifts in strategy and tactics to reach established targets. The effective Sales Manager will deliver a mix of strategy, execution, and leadership to accomplish overarching goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Partner with the Director of Marketing & Sales and PSC on the development and execution of the annual marketing plan and business strategy, which includes the season passholder plan, group sales plan, promotions plan, and financial and attendance projections

* Deliver season passholder attendance and revenue targets through the development and implementation of a multi-channel season passholder strategy and plan focused on attracting and retaining Kentucky Kingdom season passholders and increasing season passholder visitation

* Deliver annual group sales attendance and revenue targets through the development and implementation of a multi-channel group sales strategy and plan. The successful plan will include, but not be limited to, marketing and direct sales efforts which support the acquisition of school groups, SMERF groups, corporate groups, tour and travel groups, consignment admissions, and group-based event attendance

* In conjunction with the Director of Marketing & Sales, develop pricing strategies, bundling opportunities, and other special product initiatives to deliver plan targets

* Develop and deliver reports and presentations for assigned areas or special projects at the request of the Director of Marketing & Sales. This includes, but is not limited to, analytical summaries of season passholder and group sales activities, attendance analysis, and/or concept testing

* Partner with PSC to activate national sponsorships and partnerships; lead efforts in the acquisition of local sponsorship program to exceed targets

* Purposefully develop all direct reports through an ongoing commitment to growth; creating an environment of clarity in expectation, praise/recognition, and accountability

* Other duties as assigned

Required Skills Required Skills and Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in Business or related field required

* 5+ years experience in a sales management role

* Proficient in MS Office; Content Management Systems and website analytic programs

* Highly organized with strong verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to travel locally to attend expos and networking events both during and outside of scheduled hours

* Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends, evenings, and holidays
